We absolutely loved our stay
We absolutely loved our stay in the lodge – the space and location were amazing and made for a lovely get away.
Simply Magic
This was our 2nd visit and once again the stay was fantastic . You would be hard pressed to find a better location anywhere .. watching the daily comings and goings of Dittisham from the front of the cottage . Better than anything Netflix produces. The cottage is quirky, well laid out and spacious .. simply magic:
We can’t wait to come back
We had a wonderful week; the house is spotless and comfortable, but the real magic is to be found on the doorstep: the position is breathtaking; we loved sitting on the table outside watching all the boats and swimmers and paddle-boarders passing by. The pub is less than a minute away and does great pizzas (eat in or takeaway); the ferry to Dartmouth is also a sheer pleasure. Dittisham is such a beautiful and safe place for everyone of all ages; we can’t wait to come back. Til next year!

The house recently featured on ‘Celebrity Help my House is haunted’ on the Discovery Channel. The film team commented that they had “rarely encountered such warm and friendly atmosphere”, and all those who visit notice a peace and warmth that is hard to explain. We leave it to those who visit to make their own judgment, but can neither guarantee a meeting with our long-standing houseguests, nor be responsible in any way if you do. All we ask is that you are respectful of the house and those from down the centuries, to whom some believe it is still home.
